We have learned so much and thought it would be useful to share what we've learned with others who have a Tesla and plan road trip, or are researching Tesla's to decide whether to purchase one.
This first post covers the planning process. We had thought we had this figured out before our first road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area to Arizona based on reading online and talking to many Tesla owners but boy were we wrong. We are now on day 4 of a 21 day road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area which included a breakdown on day 1 and now we are even more aware of tips and tricks for a successful Tesla road trip. As we are still fresh from the trauma of the breakdown (which only took 33 hours to resolve, but it was an incredibly stressful 33 hours), we are motivated to share what we've learned before we forget!
